Bokhara Suzani 5' x 7'

A fantastic, early dowry piece made by an Uzbek girl to demonstrate her skill with the needle (suzani is the Farsi word for needle) and judging by the results here she was a highly desirable bride. The embroidery is tight and colourful with a wonderful orangey-red contrasting beautifully with the blue red in the flowers, connected by stems in green. A joy to behold and will make an excellent display piece or possibly a guest bedroom bed cover.
