A rough tribal beauty with a loose weave and strong colours.I particularly love the contrast between the deep indigo field and the red floral motifs that cover the ground. The border is distinctive and charming.
Size: 212 x 145 cm
Date: Second half 19th Century
Condition: Some low pile and I believe the selvedges are not the original overcasting. It is a rather wonky rug that flares out in the middle but in the main it is a very usable sound piece.
