Qashqai

There is nothing quite as good in my eyes as a good old tribal piece like this. It has an all wool foundation and quite a loose weave. The colours are sublime and the wool soft and silky. The allover design is mesmerising and as often happens with these designs it is eclipsed by the borders on all sides giving the impression that the design continues to infinity in all directions

Condition: The top section of the rug is quite worn with the red wefts showing. The ends and sides are good and original but at the time of writing there is a hole near the bottom edge.
