Needlepoint Picture depicting a Lady within a Landscape

Finely worked in gros and petit point in silk and wool, this English needlepoint picture dates to the early part of the 17th century. It is complete with the side selvedges and was originally commissioned as a small hanging. It is now mounted on a wooden stretcher.
