Fine Shahsavan Jajim

Jajims were woven by the Shahsavan tribal weavers for domestic use, mainly for storage and bedding purposes. The best examples were made to a very high standard and were often used as dowry gifts. The simple designs of multi-coloured stripes have great appeal and work very well in all kinds of decorative settings. This lovely piece has a very fine wool quality with excellent dyes. The work quality is excellent, and it has survived in excellent condition.
