Early Ghiordes Prayer Rug
A rare early Anatolian Prayer Rug which has survived in very good condition. Note the the rare ivory field and beautiful drawing of the elements. The spandrels above the niche appear to be filled with stylised dragons, while the blue cartouche has very expressively drawn cloudbands. The main border is pretty and well drawn. Note also the lazy lines.
