Mohtasham

This Late 19th century is a very finely woven carpet from the workshops of the master weaver Mohtasham, the carpet is made with very fine wool which is called( Kurk )from softest area of lambs neck . it is on red and blue colours with beautiful flowers and birds design around all over the border and field with a medallion .
Origin: Kashan ,Centre of Iran
Size: 303 x 233 cm
Date: 1880-1900
Condition: overall thin pile ,age related uneven wear caused by Oxidation or corrosion otherwise in good order and ready to go on the floor.
