Tashkent Susani 19th Century

A charming bridal or dowry embroidery from Central Asia. Some condition issues due to wear and oxidation. Silk and wool embroidery on a cotton ground. The item has been washed and backed with an Uzbek Ikat. Third photo is of the back of the embroidery.

Size: 180 x 1884 cm
Date: Mid 19th Century or earlier
Condition: Wear to main field, loss of silk embroidery outline, especially oxidised black details. One or two repairs and patches verso. Bottom end has been reduced, see photos.
