West African Indigo smock
An attractive vintage indigo-dyed cotton West African men’s smock. Possibly from Benin or Togo, these were worn as a sign of authority, as they implied that the owner had a horse: therefore a ‘riding tunic’. Size: 140cm cuff to cuff / 100cm neck to hem.

Condition: Good vintage condition, sympathetically patched in places. Minor wear in places
