Ziegler Rug

This is a superb Persian rug. Finely knotted with low-clipped pile and fine wool imported from Manchester, it has all the hallmarks of the group of rugs woven by or for Ziegler and Co. at the end of the 19th century. The soft ivory field is decorated with a repeat floral lattice design framed a delightful sky-blue repeat floral border. This rug has the status of being both highly decorative and collectible.
